Authorize staff an additional $5000.00 beyond the City Administrator's authorized
spending limit of 7,500.00 to complete the storm damage cleanup and tree removal at
Ingerson Park for a total cost not to exceed $12,500.00.

SUBJECT:
Storm Damage Tree Removal, Ingerson Park
BACKGROUND
On the evening of June 14, a storm with high winds caused extensive tree damage to Ingerson
Park. At the City Council Work Session on June 16, staff briefed the City Council on the extent
of the damage, and Council recommended that staff begin the cleanup process up to the City
Administrator's authorized spending limit for budgeted items of$7,500.00. Staff contacted our
contracted tree company to begin the cleanup. On June 18, Precision Landscape and Tree began
the work to cleanup and remove trees in the park within the authorized spending limit. Staff
anticipates the total project costs will not exceed $12,500.00.
RECOMMENDED COUNCIL ACTION
Authorize staff an additional $5,000.00 beyond the City Administrator's authorized spending
limit of$7,500.00 to complete the storm damage cleanup and tree removal at Ingerson Park for a
total cost not to exceed $12,500.00.
