Back{!round The original design of the Audio Visual (A V) room's ventilation did not take into account the large amount of heat generated from the equipment in that room. The cooling system is inadequate for that large amount of heat being generated, which contributed to the failure of the equipment in that space. To help prolong the life of the current equipment and comfort level for the occupants, staff obtained proposals from two Inechanical contractors. The contractors were requested to evaluate the space and come up with the most economical solution to cool the A V room. Both contractors suggested installing a split unit cooling system. The contractor would install an air conditioning unit in the room and the condensing unit on the roof. Quotes Staff received two quotes for this project, \vhich are attached: o Johnson Controls for $ 13,438.00 o Pearson Mechanical for $9.,970.00.
