The Council has requested an opportunity to discuss the City's volunteer committees. It is
suggested that the discussion begin with broader topics such as those listed below.
. What is the general purpose of having volunteer committees?
-- What benefits are they expected to provide to the Council and to the Community?
. How can the volunteer committees best serve their purpose, and best provide the
expected benefits?
. What is the role of the committees in relation to the Council?
. How can the Council best provide direction to committees to facilitate them best serving
their purpose?
