SUBJECT: Consolidated Dispatch System Update
Consultant Study
The County Board approved an RFP for a consolidated dispatch system staffing study last month
and that RFP is now on the street. Responses are due at the end of October. The consultant
should be selected by the end of November. The study results are due by April.
_.911 Call Recorded Message
Scott Williams, the County's Emergency Communications Director, followed up on the 911 call
for which the caller received a recorded message indicating the caller would be connected to the
911 system. Scott has indicated the 911 system does not have a recorded message. The 911 call
recording was most likely from the phone system that serves the building where the call was
made. Scott's staff is trying to track down someone from the building's telecommunications
staff who can confirm this.
