On January 1, 2008, a 3% COLA was applied to this plan. The City Council values its employees and is sensitive to the market in which they compete, therefore maintaining a viable compensation plan is vital to the City. Discussion: Annually the City Council evaluates its compensation plan and determines if a cost of living adjustment (COLA) is appropriate. During the 2009 budget sessions, a 3% COLA was planned and discussed. Attached is the 2008 pay matrix adjusted for a 3% COLA. The seasonal employee compensation plan has been reviewed by staff and adjusted to market conditions. Recommended Action: Motion to approve the 2009 Employee Compensation Plan for non-unIon employees as presented. 2009 City of Arden Hills Pay Matrix - COLA 30/0 2009 - Yearly Step One Step Two Step Three SteoFour Step Five Step Six Step Seven Step Eiaht 13 $ 90,389 $ 93,618 $ 96,846 $ 100,074 $ 1Q3,302 $ 106,530 $ 109,758 $ 112,986 12 $ 81,138 $ 84,035 '$ 86,934 $ 89,831 $ 92,730 $ 95,627 $ 98,525 $ 101,423 11 $ 72,651 $ 75,246 $ 77,840 $ aO,435 $ 83,030 $ 85,625 $ 88,219 $ 90,814 10 $ 66,540 $ 68,917 $ 71 ,293 $ 73,669 $ 76,046 $ 78,422 $ 80,799 $ 83,175 9 $ 60,005 $ 62,148 $ 64,291 $ 66,434 $ 68,577 $ 70,720 $ 72,863 $ 75,006 8 $ 53,470 $ 55,379 $ 57 ,~89 $ 59,199 $ 61,108 $ 63,018 $ 64,928 $ 66,837 7 $ 49,905 $ 51 ,688 $ 53,470 $ 55.252 $ 57,034 $ 58,817 $ 60,599 $ 62,381 6 $ 44,558 $ 46,150 $ 47,741 .$ 49,332 $ 50,924 $ 52,515 $ 54, 1 06 $ 55,698 5 $ 40,060 $ 41,491 $ 42,92~ $ 44,~52 $ 45,783 $ 47,214 $ 48,644 $ 50,075 4 $ 36,835 $ 38,150 $ 39,466 $ 40,781 $ 42,097 $ 43,413 $ 44,728 $ 46,044 3 $ 32,167 $ 33,316 $ 34,465 $ 35,,614 $ 36,762 $ 37,911 $ 39,060 $ 40,209 2 $ 29,281 $ 30,327 $ 31,372 $ 32,418 $ 33,464 $ 34,511 $ 35,556 $ 36,602 1 $ 26,650 $ 27,~02 $ 28,554 $ 29,505 $ 30,458 $ 31 ,410 $ 32,361 $ 33,313 2009 - Monthly Step ,One SteD Two Step Three Step Four Step Five Step Six Step Seven SteoEiaht 13 $ 7,533 $ 7,802 $ , ' 8,071 $ 8,34Q $ 8,609 $ 8,878 $ 9,147 $ 9,416 12 $ 6,762 $ 7,003 $ 7,245 $ 7,486 $ 7,728 $ 7,969 $ 8,211 $ 8,452 11 $ 6,055 $ 6,271 $ 6,487 $ 6,703 $ 6,920 $ 7,136 $ 7,352 $ 7,568 10 $ 5,545 $ 5,744 $' 5,942 $ 6,140 $ 6,338 $ 6,536 $ 6,734 $ 6,932 9 $ 5,001 $ 5,179 $ 5,358 $ 5,537 $ 5,715 $ 5,894 $ 6,072 $ 6,251 8 $ 4,456 $ 4,615 $ 4,775 $ 4,934 $ 5,093 $ 5,252 $ 5,411 $ 5,570 7 $ 4,159 $ 4,308 1$ 4,456 $ 4,605 $ 4,753 $ 4,902 $ 5,050 $ ~,199 6 $ 3,714 $ 3,846 $ 3,979 $ 4,111 $ 4,244 $ 4,377 $ 4,509 $ 4,642 5 $ 3,339 $ 3,458 $ 3,577 $ 3,696 $ 3,816 $ 3,935 $ 4,054 $ 4,173 4 $ 3,070 $ 3,180 $ 3,289 $ 3,399 $ 3,509 $ 3,618 $ 3,728 $ 3,837 3 $ 2,681 $ 2,777 $ 2,873 $ 2,968 $ 3,064 $ 3,160 $ 3,255 $ 3,351 2 $ 2,441 $ 2,528 $ 2,615 $ 2,702 $ 2,,789 $ 2,876 $ 2,963 $ 3,051 1 ,$ 2,221 $ 2,301 $ 2,380 $ 2,459 $ 2,539 $ 2,618 $ 2,697 $ 2,777 2009 - Hourly Step One Step Two Step Three Step Four Step Five Step Six Step Seven Step Eiaht 13 $ 43.46 $ 45.01 $ 46.57 $ 48.12 $ 49.67 $ 51.22 $ 52.77 $ 54.33 12 $ 39.01 $ 40.41 $ 41.20 $ 43.19 $ 44.59 $ 45.98 $ 47.37 $ 48.77 11 $ 34.93 $ 36.18 $ 37.43 $ 38.68 $ 39.92 $ 41.17 $ 42.42 $ 43.67 10 $ 32.00 $ 33.14 $ 34.28 $ 35.42 $ 36.57 $ 37.71 $ 38,85 $ 39.99 9 $ 28.85 $ 2,9..88 $ 30.91 $ 31 .94 $ 32.97 $ 34.00 $ 35.04 $ 36.07 8 $ 25.71 $ 26.63 $ 27.55 $ 28.47 $ 29.38 $ 30.30 $ 31.22 $ 32.14 ~ 7 ,$ 24.00 $ 24.85 $ 25.71 $ 26.57 $ 27,43 $ 28.28 $ 29.14 $ 30,00 6 $ 21.43 $ 22. 19 $ 22.96 $ 23.72 $ 24.49 $ 25.25 $ 26.02 $ 26.78 5 $ 19,26 $ 19.95 $ 20.64 $ 21.33 $ 22,02 $ 22,70 $ 23,39 $ 24,08 4 $ 17.71 $ 18,35 $ 18.98 $ 19.61 $ 20.24 $ 20.88 $ 21,51 $ 22.14 3 $ 15,47 $ 16,02 $ 16.57 $ 17.13 $ 17.68 $ 18,23 $ 18,78 $ 19.34 2 $ 14.08 $ 14,59 $ 15.09 $ 15.59 $ 16.09 $ 16.60 $ 17,10 $ 17.60 1 $ 12.82 $ 13.28 $ 13.73 $ 14.19 $ 14.65 $ 15.11 $ 15.56 $ 16.02 - zt\~IH1LLS Parks and Recreation 2009 Part-Time Pay Scale Playground Leaders/Special Event/Trip Chaperone: * College Entry Program Instructor III: Specialty crafts/ceramics; drawing; special event classes, ice skating instructor,hocke skills instructor.
