SUBJECT:
Acting Superintendent Pay
Background
Since July 1 of2008, Joe Mooney has been serving as acting Public Works Superintendent.
Although Joe has been performing the duties of the superintendent, he has not been receiving any
additional pay. Additional pay to provide a minimum of a 10% differential from his current pay
rate is recommended. Joe's current pay rate is $23.08 per hour. The second step of the
superintendent pay schedule is $25.85 per hour, which would be a 12% differential.
Recommendation
It is recommended that Joe Mooney receive acting superintendent pay equal to step 2 of the
superintendent pay range, effective July 1, 2008.
