SUBJECT: TCAAP Update
Federal Stimulus Funding
The City is working closely with Congresswoman Betty McCollum to obtain funding for clean-
up and demolition on the TCAAP site through the Federal stimulus package.
Tax Increment Financing Legislation
The City is continuing to work with its State legislators to obtain special legislation to enable
flexibility in the use of tax increment financing for the TCAAP project. Representative Knuth
has taken the lead in shepherding the bill through the legislative process on the House side.
Coordination of Legislative Efforts
The City, Ryan, and Ryan's legislative consultant will begin meeting on a regular basis to ensure
coordination of legislative efforts.
