Town Hall Meeting Preparations

The Town Hall Meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Monday, May 4, in the City Council
Chambers. At a previous work session, the Council determined that the format for the meeting
will be presentations regarding a set of topics by the Council members, and an opportunity for
questions and comments by residents.
Discussion
There are a number of elements of the Town Hall Meeting that require some discussion/direction
by the Council
. The topics to be presented by the Council need to be identified.
. Discussion/direction is needed regarding the logistics of the meeting-how to keep the
meeting moving.
o There was some discussion by the Council regarding whether there should be an
opportunity for questions after each topic presentation, or whether an opportunity
for questions and comments should be provided after all presentations are
complete. The concern was that, if questions were invited after each topic, the
meeting could get bogged down.
. The format and elements of the meeting need to be finalized.
o Confirm that the main elements of the meeting are Council presentations, and
questions and comments from residents.

Finalize plans for the Town Hall Meeting
