Attached is a proclamation declaring Tuesday, August 4, 2009, as "Night to Unite" in Arden Hills, Ramsey County, Minnesota. Reauested Action Motion to approve the Night to Unite 2009 Proclamation. Neighbors Joining Together CITY OF ARDEN HILLS WHEREAS, the Minnesota Crime Prevention Association, along with AAA of Minnesota / Iowa is sponsoring a nationwide crime prevention program on Tuesday, August 4th, 2009 entitled "Night to Unite"; and WHEREAS, the "Night to Unite" provides a unique opportunity for the City of Arden Hills to join forces with thousands of other communities across the country in promoting cooperative, police-community crime prevention efforts; and WHEREAS, Arden Hills plays a vital role in assisting the Ramsey County Sheriff's Department through joint crime prevention efforts in Arden Hills and is supporting "Night to Unite 2009" locally; and WHEREAS, it is essential that the citizens of Arden Hills be aware of the importance of crime prevention programs and the impact that their participation can have on reducing crime in Arden Hills; and WHEREAS, police-community partnerships, neighborhood safety, awareness and cooperation are important themes of the "Night to Unite" program; NOW, THEREFORE, I, Mayor, Stan Harp stead, and WE, Council Members, David Grant, Brenda Holden, Fran Holmes, and Dave McClung, DO HEREBY CALL UPON ALL CITIZENS OF ARDEN HILLS, RAMSEY COUNTY, to join the RAMSEY COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT the MINNESOTA CRIME PREVENTION ASSOCIATION AND AAA OF MINNESOTA / IOWA in supporting the "Night to Unite" on August 4th, 2009.
