SUBJECT: Resignation of James Paulet from the EDC
Requested Action
Motion to accept the resignation of James Paulet from the Economic Development Commission.
Background
On August 16, 2009, ,Tames Paulet submitted his resignation from the Economic Development

replacement for this position would fulfill the remainder of the term.
With Mr. Paulet's resignation, four of the nine positions on the EDC will be vacant. Two of the
other vacant positions have appointments that expire at the end of 2010, and the other vacant
position expires at the end of 2009. No applications have been submitted for the EDC. The
open positions have been posted to the web and on CTV.

Dear James,
I regret to inform you that I am resigning from the Arden Hills Economic Development
Commission effective immediately. My employment situation has changed and I have
determined it will be impossible for me to fulfill the duties of a commissioner. I had
hoped to find a way to fit the business visits into my schedule but I am finding it will not
be possible.
I have enjoyed my time with the commission and should my situation change in the
future I will consider contacting you about other volunteer opportunities. Thank you for
your understanding.
Sincerely,
James Paulet
