SUBJECT: PowerPoint Presentation for the Joint Work Session with the
Ramsey County Board
Background
On October 20, 2009, the Council will meet with the Ramsey County Board in a point work
session to discuss the concept of a regional park use for the TCAAP property and the CountY's
interest in being the entity to receive and develop the property for park use. A draft PowerPoint
presentation, outlining the information to be presented by the City at the work session, has been
prepared(see attached). The presentation has been prepared to:
• Introduce the opportunity of a regional park on the TCAAP property
• Provide information about the TCAAP property and the benefits of a regional park use
• Provide information about the public sale process/option
• Outline the steps for accomplishing the regional park use
• Request the Ramsey County Board to be the recipient of the property for park use
The work session will be an opportunity to ensure that the draft presentation includes the
necessary information, provides sufficient information to enable the County Board to make in
informed decision, and is organized in a way that facilitates the Board's understandingd.
