SUBJECT: Financial Planning and Analysis Committee Presentation
Backiround
In 2007, the City Council created the Financial Planning and Analysis Committee
(FPAC). Their mission and purpose is to provide modeling,projections, and suggest
fiscal policies surrounding the longer-term impact of current and near term decisions.
This includes: build versus lease decisions; future Fire/Police capital p
facilities/eq ui ment;
fund balance policies and capital improvement plans. Use of public financing to achieve
these obj ects is included in this mission/purpose.
Discussion
The committee would like to give a short presentation to the Council on ways that they
can offer their assistance in accordance with their mission.
