On both January 1, 2008 and January 1, 2009, a 3 % COLA was applied to this plan. The City Council values its employees and is sensitive to the market in which they compete, therefore maintaining a viable compensation plan is vital to the City. Dkell ccinn Annually the City Council evaluates its compensation plan and determines if a cost of living adjustment (COLA) is appropriate. During the 2010 budget sessions, it was determined that due to the current economy, no COLA would be planned this year. Attached is the 2010 pay matrix with no COLA for 2010. The seasonal employee compensation plan has been reviewed by staff and an adjustment was made to reduce the salary in the Program Instructor I category from $12.00 to $11.50, all other categories did not change. Council Action Motion to approve the 2010 Employee Compensation Plan for non -union employees as presented.
