SUBJECT: City Administrator Recruitment Update
Background
The City has hired The Brimeyer Group to conduct its search for a new City
Administrator and has appointed Sue Iverson as the Acting City Administrator in the
interim. The City Council has chosen Patrick Klaers to negotiate with for the position.
On April 23, the City Attorney and the Personnel Committee held successful negotiations
with Mr. Klaers. Pending City Council approval at tonight's meeting, Mr. Klaers will
begin as City Administrator on May 3, 2010.
Council Action
The City Council will be asked to approve the contract with Mr. Patrick Klaers later on
the agenda under New Business.
