SUBJECT: Cummings Park Irrigation Project Payment
Back�round:
The City Council at the March 29, 2010 meeting awarded the Cummings Park Irrigation
Proj ect to Village Plumbing, Inc. in the amount of $1,616.00 and Anderson Irrigation, Inc.
in the amount of $13,867.75.
Financial Implications:
The construction of the proj ect is complete. The original quote for Village Plumbing, Inc.
included $35.00 for a plumbing permit. This permit fee was paid directly by the City and
therefore, the total bill for Village Plumbing, Inc. is $1,581.00. The original quote from
Anderson Irrigation, Inc. was for $13,867.75. However, staff requested an additional
sprinkler line along the hill to the side of the ball field. This was in response to Council
concerns regarding the absence of irrigation in this area of the park. Installation of this
line added $617.00 to the irrigation installation cost for a total of $14,484.75. The City
paid $850.00 for water meter parts and $35.00 for the plumbing permit for a total project
cost of $16,950.75.
Recommended Council Action:
Staff recommends a motion to authorize payment to Village Plumbing, Inc. in the amount
of $1,581.00 and payment to Anderson Irrigation, Inc. in the amount of $14,484.75.
