SUBJECT: TCAAP Reuse and Public Sale Update
General Service Administration(GSA)Update
On May 27, 2010, Kevin Legare from the GSA visited City Hall to introduce their recently hired
marketing team for the TCAAP property auction. The GSA hired Jones Lang LaSalle
( o .esla .g.asa." .e.coM). The marketing team will be preparing a virtual tour of the
TCAAP property and a new website. The City's website will provide a link once their
information is available.
At that meeting, Mr. Legare restated that the second bidders' conference will be held on June 24.
The meeting is anticipated to be held at the Fort Snelling Henry Whipple Building, but the time
has not been finalized. Mr. Legare stated that the draft Invitation for Bid(IFB)will be available
at the bidders' conference or just before the conference. The City has requested a copy of the
draft IFB for review and comment prior to release at the conference.
The TCAAP auction had been tentatively scheduled for the last part of June; however, the GSA
has pushed the auction back to the end of July or early August. Mr. Legare indicated that the
auction date will largely depend on the results and interest expressed at the conference.
Ramsey County Park and Open Space Requests
Mike Fix and Greg Mack are continuing to work with the MPCA regarding environmental
remediation requirements for Ramsey County's TCAAP park and open space land requests.
Additional Updates
The Planning Commission held the public hearing for the proposed TCAAP zoning regulations
at their meeting on June 9, 2010. The Planning Commission recommended approval of the
TCAAP regulations, and the regulations will be reviewed by the City Council at the June 28
meeting.
