SUBJECT: Library Proposal Update
Background
The Library proposal, in conjunction with the Presbyterian Homes redevelopment
concept, was reviewed at the August 9th Council work session. The proposal is scheduled
to be presented by Presbyterian Homes to the County Library Board on August 18th. The
meeting is at 6:30 p.m. at the Maplewood Library. The City Council is welcome to attend
this County Library Board meeting.
Staff has been and continues to be in contact with the Library Director, Susan Nemitz,
our Ehlers representatives, and with representatives of Presbyterian Homes, but at this
time there is nothing new to report.
Staff will verbally update the Council on the latest information that is available at the
August 16th work session. Any Council feedback on the development concept and the
Library proposal that was presented on August 9th is appreciated.
