SUBJECT: Celebrating Arden Hills
CELEBRATING ARDEN HILLS—September 181h—3:00 p.m. to dusk
Our City Fall Festival, "CelebratingArden Hills" is set for September 18th from 3:00 .m.

until dusk. This year's event will have a dual track with activities being held both at Tony
Schmidt Regional Park and Presbyterian Homes of Arden Hills.
Tony Schmidt Regional Park is the "Swing into the Parks"portion of the event, which will
have many of the old favorites such as the rock climbing wall, community booths, Mad
Science presentation, as well as Shoreview Northern Lights Variety Band to play through
the fireworks at dusk! New activities this year include: Hay rides, K-9 and other sheriff
demos, bungee trampoline event, miniature golf, antique cars and public trucks on display,
and much more! Highlighting the NEW trail connection from Perry Park to Tony Schmidt
Regional Park will be a pedicab—a bicycle cab. All activities with the exception of the
concessions are free of charge! Lake Johanna Blvd will remain open throughout the event;
however,there will be LIMITED parking available in the park. Lake Johanna Blvd. and
County Road E2 will be available for on street parking and Perry Park will have shuttles
running every 15-20 minutes to and from Presbyterian Homes and Tony Schmidt Regional
Park all afternoon and evening.
Presbyterian Homes is the "Fling into the Arts"portion of the event, which will offer an
Art Display featuring local artist's work. Tours of their beautiful gardens are available and
their gardeners will give helpful tips on keeping your garden green all season long. Music
and dancing will highlight the event featuring the Mounds View High School Orchestra
followed by the Resistors, a show band that involves the audience in ballroom dancing and
much more! Guests will also be able to catch a pontoon ride or shuttle from Presbyterian
Homes to Tony Schmidt Regional Park and back!
