2. Motion to authorize staff to initiate action to fill the vacated Accounting Analyst
position.

SUBJECT: Accept resignation of Joe Rueb and authorization to fill the
Accounting Analyst position
Background
On November 9, 2010, Joe Rueb submitted his resignation with his last day of
employment with the City of Arden Hills as November 29, 2010. As the Accounting
Analyst, Joe has been an outstanding worker for the City and the Finance department and
will be greatly missed.
Current Discussion
With Joe's resignation, staff requests authorization initiate action to fill the position as
soon as possible as year -end workloads are fast approaching as is the City's audit
preparations.
Council Action
Approve a motion to accept Joe Rueb's resignation as Accounting Analyst for the City of
Arden Hills effective November 29, 2010.
Approve a motion to authorize staff to initiate action to fill the vacated Accounting
Analyst position.

It is with mixed emotions that 1 tender my resignation from the City of Arden Hills
effective Monday, November 29 2010.
Working for the City of Arden Hills has been a wonderful experience. 1 have grown in
many ways and treasure the opportunities provided by the City. I would like to thank the
entire Arden Hills staff for making this opportunity a memorable opportunity.
Please let me know how 1 can be of assistance during this transitional period.
