City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />October 13, 2010 <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member <br />Broussard Vickers to approve the purchase of the V -plow attachment for the <br />Bobcat skidloader in the amount of $2,794.35. Motion carried. (Councilmember's <br />Love and Paar opposed.) <br />VIII. NEW BUSINESS <br />Special Events Permit Application, Final Stretch 5K & 5 Mile November 13, <br />2010 <br />Council addressed concerns regarding the collection of the additional garbage from the <br />race. <br />Mr. Mark Bongers stated all the garbage would be at the finish line of the race which is <br />located at the park. There will be plenty of garbage receptacles available. <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council Member Paar <br />to authorize the Special Events Permit Application, Final Stretch 5K & 5 Mile <br />November 13, 2010. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />2. Request to Extend Bid Date for Stormwater Irrigation Project from October 21 to <br />October 26, 2010. <br />City Engineer Statz reviewed background information regarding the extension of the bid <br />date for the Stormwater Irrigation Project from October 21 to October 26, 2010. <br />Motion by Council Member Love, seconded by Council Member Paar to approve <br />the Extension of Bid Date for Stormwater Irritation Proiect from October 21 to <br />October 26, 2010. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Request to Modify Fee Proposal for Stormwater Irrigation Project <br />a. Drain the & Other Needs <br />City Administrator Larson reviewed background information regarding the Stormwater <br />Irrigation Project. <br />The Council discussed concerns including the total amount of savings for staff installing <br />the drain the instead of hiring a contractor. <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council Member <br />Fehrenbacher to modify fee proposal allowing and additional $9000 in the design <br />budget for the Stormwater Irritation Proiect.
