If we could successfully pull this off it would be a <br /> real credit to Centerville. the unknowns are 1) what events would we sponsor, 2) do we have enough <br /> young people in our community that would participate, and 3) as always what would it cost? <br /> I have read the US Olympic Committee rules for these events. They are very specific. We cannot use this <br /> as a fund raiser. we cannot have sponsors. We can not sell or give away merchandize (t-shirts) <br /> What assets does Centerville have that could be used for competition: We have a skateboard park, tennis , <br /> courts, ball fields, and some day volleyball courts and a lake or two. <br /> If we should try to do something - I would suggest we look at 2012. Meeting once a month - it will take <br /> that long to plan an event. I <br /> bottom line is Centerville may be too small to pull this off.
