Apparently there use to be two different courses on Peltier Lake and the
submersible course had been placed on the north end of the island. That course was
removed due to the no wake and the protection of that areas aquatic plant life.

The course that is proposed currently to be installed is always above the water for the
entire season. It is held anchored in place by concrete block and takes up a large
section of the lake that is within the Centerville City limits. I don't know if we want
to address the fact that this course should be taken up when not in use or is it okay to
leave it above the water throughout the summer. It does impede a large section of the
public lake for a mostly private use.

Due to the corrected information
to notification of the sheriff.
Wednesday evening May 4th for 15
first meeting in May.

I feel we should address this matter one more time prior
Maybe we could add this to our work session next
minutes of discussion or back as an agenda item at our

Apparently the City's of Minnetonka and White Bear Lake have ordinances regulating the
size of obstructions, amount of space used, etc. of items that can be placed in a public
lake. My opinion is if every resident wanted to put rafts, slides, etc. into public space
it could create a problem for the public use of that waterway. We may want to restrict
the amount of space anyone resident can apply for such obstructions to a percentage of
the entire body of water, this would only to be fair to others USing the waterway.

Please forward any comments or concerns on to Dallas so we are not breaking any open
meeting laws.

Respectfully,

Ma.ry Capra
