Res. #10-038 <br /> A RESOLUTION RECOG1vIZING THE SERVICE AND DEDICATION OF <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER, LINDA BROUSSARD VICKERS AND HER FAMIY <br /> WIiEREAS, Ms. Broussard Vickers was first appointed to the Planning and Zoning <br /> Commission by the City Council on November 13, 1996, and <br /> WHEREAS, Ms. Broussard Vickers has served the citizens of Centerville from <br /> November 1996 — July 1999 as a Planning and Zoning Commission Member, and <br /> WHEREAS, Ms. Broussard Vickers was appointed to serve on City Council July 14, <br /> 1999 to fill a vacancy, and served her community through to the next general election in <br /> 2000 where she was elected to the office of Council Member, and <br /> WHEREAS, Ms. Broussard Vickers has served as a liaison to Planning and Zoning <br /> Commission, Parks and Recreation Committee, North Metro Telecommunications Cable <br /> Commission, Centennial Fire Steering Commission and Centennial Lakes Police <br /> Commission, and � <br /> I <br /> WHEREAS, Ms. Broussard Vickers has provided excellent leadership, demonstrated <br /> initiative and perseverance through difficult decision making and times of great change <br /> within the City, and <br /> WHEREAS, Ms. Broussard Vickers is a leader that is respected by her fellow Council <br /> Members, City staff and elected officials she has served with throughout Anoka County <br /> and the State of Minnesota. As a colleague, she has always treated her fellow Council <br /> Members with respect and valued their opinions even when they disagreed with her, and I <br /> WHEREAS, the Council recognizes that when an individual serves, so serves their <br /> family and the Council recognizes and acknowledges their sacrifices. I I <br /> NOW, TI3EREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br /> CENTERVILLE, MINNESOTA, expresses its regrets to seeing her leave this <br /> honorable service; but, wishes her and her family well in what lies before them. We <br /> thank her for her ten plus years of dedication to this community as she has served others <br /> through her choices.
