CALL TO ORDER. <br />The meeting was called to order by Commissioner Wood. <br /> <br /> <br />1.Roll Call <br /> <br /> <br />II.PUBLIC INPUT/HEARING <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br /> <br />III.OLD BUSINESS <br />. <br /> <br /> <br />1.Proposed Language- Amendment to City Code, Chapter 90, to allow Beekeeping. <br /> <br />The Commission reviewed text of proposed changes to Chapter 90 to allow keeping of <br />honeybees in residential areas of the city. The City attorney had made some modifications <br />to the proposed text which were presented at the meeting. <br /> <br />Commissioner Lee arrived during the discussion of this item. <br /> <br />Centerville Resident, Terry Johnson requested additional language to allow more bee <br />colonies on larger lots and to allow other methods of training. Consensus of the <br />Commission was to retain the simplicity of the language as proposed with the <br />understanding that the rules could be modified later if no problems are encountered with <br />beekeeping as regulated by the proposed text. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Montain, seconded by Commissioner Lee to recommend <br />that the City Council adopt the amendments as drafted by the City Attorney.
