City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />April 29, 2011 <br />2. Memorandum of Agreement – City & RCWD Implementing Rule C, <br />Stormwater Management Plans – Water Quality & Runoff Retention <br />Requirements <br /> <br />Administrator Larson explained that the Downtown Redevelopment Plan had originally <br />called for two storm water ponds, due to the storm water irrigation project, the development <br />of the downtown will not require additional ponds and will avoid using valuable land. This <br />agreement provides protection for the City, allowing credits to be banked for future <br />development usage. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Love to approve the <br />Memorandum of Agreement – City & RCWD Implementing Rule C, Stormwater <br />Management Plans – Water Quality & Runoff Retention Requirements. All in favor. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />3. Ord. #44, Second Series Amending City Code Chapter 91 <br /> <br />The proposed ordinance would insert language in the City Code to manage tree pests and tree <br />diseases. The ordinance is before you due to the recent grant received allowing planting of <br />trees in LaMotte Park. <br /> <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Love to <br />approve Ord. #44, Second Series Amending City Code Chapter 91. All in favor. <br />Council Member King opposed. Motion passed. <br /> <br />4. Request for Closeout and Final Payment – Forest Lake Contracting <br />a. Peltier Lake Drive Improvement Project <br />b. 2009 Street Improvement Project <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Paar to <br />approve the presented Request for Closeout and Final Payment – Forest Lake <br />Contracting on Peltier Lake Drive Improvement Project and 2009 Street Improvement <br />Project. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br /> 5. C. C. Ludwig Leadership Award <br /> <br />Council Member Fehrenbacher provided copies for the City Council to review in order to <br />make a motion of support for a nomination at the next scheduled City Council meeting. <br /> <br />IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES <br /> <br />The City Council directed Staff to work with the City Attorney and North Metro Cable <br />Commission to draft a letter in response to the Federal Communication Commission’s <br />request for information on use of public rights of way. It is important to respond so the FCC <br />hears from cities and not just the large utilities as they make their rules.
