Mayor Wilharber mentioned he spoke with Mayor Sullivan and she had no opposition to the road. <br /> Also, Mayor Wilharber felt a date should be included in the memorandum of understanding, since <br /> Centerville made a commitment to Lino Lakes to develop the road. Furthermore, it is the desire <br /> of the City of Centerville to work with the City of Lino Lakes. <br /> Mr. March recommended the right -of -way be obtained prior to road construction. Mr. March <br /> added, the memorandum of understanding takes into account 21 st. Avenue north of Main Street. <br /> Councilmember Helmbrecht stressed that Centerville and Lino Lakes approve all the documents at <br /> the same time. The Council elected to adjust the wording and to extend the proposed dates to <br /> accommodate the request of the City of Lino Lakes. <br /> Councilmember Helmbrecht moved and it was seconded to approve and sign the Joint Powers <br /> Agreement for 21st Avenue contingent upon approving the memorandum of understanding with <br /> change from 90 days to 120 days, both Cities approve and sign the interconnect agreement and <br /> correcting stated errors as recommended in the engineers letter dated April 3 1998 contingent <br /> upon the final draft coming back to the Council and that Centerville gets final estimates on the <br /> 600 feet for road construction Additional contingencies included a date change from December <br /> 31 2000 date to December 3 L 2001 and change last paragraph from "A formal agreement to <br /> construct said" to A formal agreement for the construction of the roadway. Helmbrecht aye, <br /> Brenner ayg Wilharber aye Powers abstained Motion carried <br /> Laurie LaMotte Park - Letter dated April 1, 1998 <br /> Mr. Nyberg presented a revised design map of Laurie LaMotte Park, Mr. Nyberg noted <br /> Centerville is attempting to get RCWD to approve the ponding area. In addition, RC" <br /> Administrator indicated there are prospects for funding. Mr. March commented he plans to share <br /> the Park and Recreations committees concerns with RCWD. <br /> Mayor Wilharber suggested Staff work with Anoka County Parks and Trails in regards to the <br /> trailway hooking up to LaMotte Park, Councilmember Powers questioned the depth of the <br /> proposed pond. Mr. Nyberg commented the pond should be about three to four feet in depth. <br /> Mr. Nyberg noted H.R. Green will update the map to reflect all changes and bring it back to the <br /> Council. <br /> Senior Housing Update <br /> Mr. March updated the Council on the Senior Housing construction progress. The City has been <br /> notified that the Multiple Sclerosis Society has awarded the City a grant in the amount of $8000 <br /> for the reimbursement of the accessibility items that were included in the Chauncey Barett <br /> Gardens project. Furthermore, the facility grounds require 3355 square yards of sod. The City <br /> has inquired about having the sod donated from Gerald Rehbein's cousin who owns a sod farm. <br /> Finally, Great Lakes Management has started the renting phase and to date the facility is not fully <br /> rented. <br /> 4 <br />
