ST THERESE SW 6r2933S776
April 1, 1998
To: Tim Pantos
Maureen Gallus
Anoka County
Theresa Brenner
Ry -Chel Gaustad
City of Centerville
From: Mary Beth Davis
Great Lakes Management
Regarding: Leasing Activity at Chauncey Barett Gardens
On Tuesday, March 31, prospective residents of Chauncey Barett Gardens were allowed
to view their reserved units and were given the opportunity to sign a lease to occupy the
unit on June 1, 1998,
We had a very wet, muddy day to do our leasing and it took considerable effort for most
of the seniors to get Into the building. Frana had arranged the day before to have the road
in graded, but we advised the residents not to drive on it with their cars. Instead we
shuttled them in from the road using a four wheel drive vehicle.
As I had mentioned to you previously, we had five cancellations during the two weeks
preceding the lease up day. We did, however, rent the I bedroom handicapped unit during
that period. So as of Tuesday we had l 1 units reserved. Of those:
1. 7 have signed leases and are confirmed to move in June 1.
2. One took the lease home without siting. He was hesitant to do so
because his house has not sold. He understandg that if he does not sign
in the next couple of days that we will need to place the apartment back
on the market. It Is ray sense that he is anxious to move in, and will go
ahead and sign as the building becomes M.
3. One resident was out of town, and was not able to sign a lease before he
left. i have an appointment with him next Wednesday to look at the
apartment and sign the lease.
5000 Glenxood Accr= Suite 150 Golden Valley, MN 55422.5146 612!3 (Fax) 61 ?./377 -738?
