AMENDMENT TO JOINT MUNICIPAL <br /> POLICE DEPARTMENT CONTRACT <br /> CITIES OF LEXINGTON AND CIRCLE PINES, MINNESOTA <br /> This Amendment is entered into as of the 27th day of November, <br /> 1990, by and between the City of Circle Pines, hereinafter referred <br /> to as "Circle Pines," and the City of Lexington, hereinafter <br /> referred to as "Lexington," both municipal corporations located in <br /> the County of Anoka, State of Minnesota. <br /> WHEREAS, Circle Pines and Lexington are the parties to a June <br /> 5, 1975 contract entitled, "JOINT MUNICIPAL POLICE DEPARTMENT <br /> CONTRACT, CITIES OF LEXINGTON AND CIRCLE PINES, MINNESOTA," (the <br /> Contract); and <br /> WHEREAS, the parties desire to amend the Contract as set forth <br /> herein. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby agreed as follows: <br /> 1. The second full paragraph on the first page of the <br /> Contract reads as follows: <br /> WHEREAS, Circle Pines and Lexington desire to <br /> establish, equip and operate a joint municipal <br /> police department to protect, safeguard and <br /> furnish police protection for their citizens <br /> pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 436.06. <br /> The above paragraph is hereby deleted from the Contract and is <br /> replaced with the following: <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes <br /> Section 436.06, Circle Pines and Lexington <br /> desire to establish, equip and operate a joint <br /> municipal police department to protect, <br /> safeguard and furnish police protection for <br /> their citizens, and to the citizens of other <br /> cities or towns pursuant to contracts approved <br /> by bath Lexington and Circle Pines. <br /> 1 <br />
