CENTERVILLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CUMMICTEE <br /> REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br /> TUESDAY February 17, 19511 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Centerville Economic <br /> Development Committee held their regular scheduled meeting on <br /> February 17, 1998. Chairperson Tim Rehbine called the meeting to <br /> order at 7:01 P.M. Present: Mary Capra, Dan Tourville, - I neresa <br /> Brenner, Jim March, John Magill, Paul Montain (7:35 <br /> Approval of January 1998 Minutes <br /> Motion by John Magill to approve the January 1990 meeting minutes <br /> with the change of removing Paul Nontain from showing as absent, <br /> second by Dan Tourville. All in favor. <br /> Downtown Revitalization <br /> Theresa Brenner stated that the application ham been delivered to <br /> the PIN Design 'beam. She stated that Centerville was the only <br /> application they had received requesting a tall visit. :'hey veil <br /> be reviewing the application and will call in March to set a <br /> screening time. <br /> Star City Uoals L Objectives <br /> Welcome Neighbor Program <br /> The committee decided to start with getting the molders uack <br /> together with one residential inlormation in them. 1ney would <br /> need to talk with the new acting police cniei tar the okay to <br /> continue using the police department for nelivery of the packets. <br /> New letters from the church and mayor snould also be written. <br /> John hagill will start working on this tar the narcn meeting. <br /> Business Directory <br /> Theresa Brenner stated that a new form had been drafted for <br /> businesses to complete and is currently working on the update. <br /> Business Appreciation Dinner <br /> Theresa Brenner suggested we start planning the business <br /> Appreciation Dinner if it going to be held in May. we will put it <br /> on next months agenda. <br /> Street Banners <br /> Jim March questioned whether LUC would be the committee to <br /> consider purchasing of street banners for the City. it a group <br /> could be formed to do fund raising for this pro)ect, it would he <br /> more approachable. The committee decided to keep the idea in <br /> mind. <br /> Jim March also suggested to the committee about putting something <br /> in the newsletter to try to get together some type dt garoening <br /> club that could take care of some flower beds within the city. <br /> Mn Historical Society <br /> Mary Capra stated Bob Thein is willing to donate all nts <br /> negatives to the City. 'Things have been on hold for the last <br />
