The required permits have been obtained. The plans <br /> are ready to bid. <br /> A proposed schedule for the project is as follows: <br /> Council approval and authorization for bidding July 22, 1998 <br /> First Advertisement — Forest Lake Times July 30, 1998 <br /> First Advertisement — Construction Bulletin July 31, 1998 <br /> Bid Opening August 25, 1998 <br /> Council award of contract August 26, 1998 <br /> An alternative to the above schedule would be to receive quotes from contractors <br /> independently for different phases of the work. The first phase would include mass <br /> grading of the site and turf establishment. If price quotes were over $25,000, the project <br /> would then need to be publicly bid. <br /> We will be in attendance at the July 22 "d City Council meeting to answer any questions <br /> you have about the project, and to discuss the above bidding options in more detail. <br /> Sincerely, <br /> oward R.
