MEMO <br /> DATE : July 17, 1998 <br /> TO Honorable Mayor and Council <br /> FROM : Jim March <br /> RE Travis property rezone request <br /> The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended that the rezone <br /> request be approved for the Travis property. The request is to <br /> rezone the property to R -5 residential. This zoning <br /> classification has the largest minimum lot sizes of any of our <br /> residential districts (minimum 17,500 square feet). I would <br /> recommend that this rezone be approved. <br /> It is my understanding that the Travis would like to demolish <br /> the existing house on the south ten acre parcel and then apply <br /> for a building permit for the lot on the farthest southwest <br /> corner of the south ten acre parcel. If the existing house is <br /> demolished, then the building permit request would be in accord <br /> with our city ordinances. <br />
