ADMINISTRATORS REPORT <br /> Flashing Lights for the Elementary School <br /> Mr. March reported he spoke to Mr. Mike Hughes and Ms. Margaret Langfeld in regards to the <br /> traffic lights at the elementary school. The County plans to meet with a consulting engineer July <br /> 1, and they plan to engineer the project. The County indicated that they will insure the lights are <br /> installed before school opens this fall. <br /> An Auction at LaMotte's Store <br /> Mr. March commented LaMotte's have requested permission to close off Centerville Road to the <br /> north of Main Street for an auction on Sunday, June 28, 1998. The Circle Pines - Lexington Police <br /> Department will provide the barricades and the interim police chief has been contacted. <br /> Councilmember Helmbrecht moved and it was seconded to approve closing Centerville Road <br /> north of Main Street for the auction on Sunday. June 28 1998 Motion carried unanimously <br /> Minnesota Department of Natural Resources - Gun Safety Classes <br /> Mr. March reported gun safety classes will be conducted at City Hall on Thursday evenings from <br /> July 16, through August 13, 1998. Mr. March mentioned there is a conflicting date of August 6, <br /> however, the classes will be held at another location that evening. <br /> Councilmember Buckbee moved and it was seconded to Uprove the MN DNR to hold gun safety <br /> classes in the council chambers at Cif Hall. Motion carried unanimously <br /> Turtleman Triathalon <br /> Mr. March explained the Turtleman Triathalon is scheduled for August 15, 1998. The City has <br /> received a certificate of insurance which lists the City as an additional insured. <br /> AWAIR <br /> Mayor Wilharber received notice of a hands -on training sponsored by AWAIR. <br /> Archery Deer Huntin¢ <br /> Mayor Wilharber reported the Anoka County Board of Commissioners adopted Resolution #97- <br /> 78, Relating to the issuance of A Permit for Archery Deer Hunting in Designated Areas of the <br /> Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Regional Park Reserve. Moreover, should any resident have questions <br /> regarding this matter, please contact Anoka County Parks and Recreation at 767 -2860. <br /> The Council requested Staff place the information in the summer newsletter. <br /> National Night Out <br /> Mayor Wilharber announced Tuesday, August 4, 1998 is designated as National Night Out. <br /> Mayor Wilharber stated he would like to have citizens come out and visit the Neighborhood <br /> Crime Watch Groups and to show support in fighting crime. <br /> 6 <br />
