Box 324 Hugo MN 55C38 RE: WETLAND CREDITS— LAMOTTE PARK CITY OF CENTERVILLE Dear Mr, Rehbein: As we have previously discussed, the City of Centerville has a need for wetland credits for the Lamotte Park project along Centerville Road. We are currently in the stages of final design for ;his prejent. The Rice Creek Watershed District has granted a grading perm -.. We hope to begin work on the park this summer. The ' proposed grading plan for the park will result in the filling of 9,855 square feet of jurisdictional wetland. We understand that you are in the process of creating a wetland on yC ur property in Centerville. According to the Rice Creek Watershed District, the credits from construction of this wstland will be available next year. The watershed district Is optimistic thls area will be established and available next year for wetland banking. We are requesting a donation from your wetland credits for the Lamotte Park Project. To rrreet the mitigation requirements of the watershed district, we would need a dedication of 9,710 square feet of wetland credits (2 x 19,655 — 5,000 square foot de minimusj). You had previously indicated to us that you would donate these credits to the City c Centerville for the Lamotte Park project, when the credits are available sometime next. ear.
