WEEK =N FtLV =EW <br /> Edition # 60 5 -18 -98 through 5 -22 -98 <br /> ----------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> ----------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> Building permits issued this period = 4 <br /> Building permits issued YTD = 84 <br /> * The pre - construction conference for the 20th Avenue sewer and <br /> water improvement project was held on Tuesday of this week. <br /> The contractor (Bonine Construction) will be given the notice <br /> to proceed once they supply some additional required <br /> information. The appraiser (Julie Schwartz) has meet with the <br /> Carpenter's and the Strehlow's and is working on her report <br /> for Council. <br /> * The 4th Annual Business Appreciation Dinner was a success! <br /> There were approximately 35 people in attendance. There were <br /> many new faces at the meeting. <br /> * A meeting was held with Rick Carlson (developer of Parkview <br /> Addition) on Wednesday morning. Mr. Carlson was present with <br /> his Engineer (Ted Mattke). Several issues were discussed. <br /> These included developer's contract, grading plan and final <br /> plat. It is anticipated that the above items will be <br /> finalized by the first Council meeting in June. <br /> * A meeting was held with Steve McDonald (Abdo, Abdo, Eick and <br /> Myers) on Thursday morning. Mr. McDonald was present for two <br /> and a half hours as we went through the audit page by page <br /> prior to presentation to Council. The overall audit looks <br /> very good. We will need to address the current water and <br /> Sewer rates. Some of the items that were addressed were as <br /> follows : , <br /> * Close out the City Celebration fund (We will continue to <br /> budget for this item in the general fund) <br /> * Close out the Centerhills funds <br /> * Make the administrative enterprise fund transfer to the <br /> general fund <br /> * Designate the excess general fund balance that is over 40W of <br /> the operating expenditures of the general fund <br />
