CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> COUNTY OF ANOKA <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION 98 -11 AWARDING THE 20TH AVENUE NORTH PROJECT <br /> WHEREAS, the Centerville City Council authorized the preparation of the feasibility study on <br /> December 11, 1996, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Centerville City Council held a public informational meeting on August 13, <br /> 1997 and a public hearing on September 24, 1997, and <br /> WHEREAS, after the public hearing plans and specifications were ordered, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Centerville City Council approved the plans and specifications on February 11, <br /> 1998, and authorized advertisement for bids, and <br /> WHEREAS, the bid opening occurred on April 21, 1998, and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to proper notice duly given as required by law, the Council has met on <br /> April 29, 1998 and conducted an assessment hearing, and <br /> WHEREAS, on May 13, 1998 a continuation of hat assessment hearing has been conducted and <br /> afforded an opportunity to all persons choosing to be heard, and <br /> WHEREAS, the improvements as proposed by the City Engineer are ordered to be constructed, <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for the improvements as prepared by the City Engineer <br /> are approved, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Centerville City Council declares its official intent to reimburse the costs of <br /> improvements, now estimated to be $508,790.65, from the proceeds of tax exempt bonds to be <br /> issued by the city. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the <br /> improvement, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law. And it appears that <br /> Bonine Excavating of Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED it is authorized and directed that the city enter into a contract <br /> with Bonine Excavating of Minnesota for the improvements of the 20th Avenue North sanitary <br /> sewer and watermain improvements according to the plans and specifications therefore approved <br /> by the Centerville City Council and on file in the office of the city clerk. <br /> Adopted by the City Council of the City of Centerville this 13th day of May, 1998. <br />
