APPEARANCES <br /> Ms. Kristen Hanson (Ehlers & Associates) Present Bond Inform for Parkview Development <br /> Resolution 98 -17 Award Bond Bid for Parkview Development <br /> Ms. Kristen Hanson from Ehlers and Associates updated the Council from the last meeting, the <br /> issue concerning awarding the bids needed to be resolved regarding the storm sewer. At that <br /> time, the Council decided to reject all bids and negotiate with the best bidder. Moreover, Ehlers <br /> and Associates negotiated and arrived at 4.5873% effectiveness, which is better than the 4.76% <br /> previously presented. <br /> Councilmember Brenner questioned Ms. Hanson if there was a financial penalty to delay the bids. <br /> Ms. Hanson replied that the cost to delay awarding the bid costs an additional $700. <br /> Mr. Nyberg explained the situation surrounding the Parkview Development grading conflict as it <br /> pertains to the storm sewer and outlet. Furthermore, upon recognizing the grading elevation <br /> conflict, with the original elevation 9063 and proposed elevation 905, H. R. Green brought the <br /> issue to the Public Works Directors/Building Officials attention. Not until later did the issue arise <br /> and unfortunately Mr. Nyberg missed the council meeting when the issue was addressed. <br /> Mr. Palzer stated the plans show what was discussed with H. R. Green and it appears in line. Mr, <br /> Nyberg stated RCWD did not have a problem with the elevation. Mr. Nyberg also apologized for <br /> missing the last meeting, but explained that Public Works Directors /Building Officials were <br /> notified of the elevation situation a few weeks prior to the issue arising. In addition, Mr. Nyberg <br /> understood the situation was under control. <br /> Councilmember Helmbrecht questioned the Engineer if the development ditch will be open, The <br /> ditch may be open (west and east) between Center Oaks and Parkview development. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Helmbrecht to approve the revised grading plan dated 8/24/98 <br /> Councilmember Brenner seconded the motion Motion carried unanimously, <br /> Motion by Councilmember Helmbrecht to approve Resolution 98 -17 regarding Bonds for <br /> Parkview Addition. Councilmember Brenner seconded the motion.
