WEEK IN REVIEW <br /> Edition # 79 10/19 -10/23 <br /> Building Permits this Period = 5 <br /> Building Permits YTD = 208 <br /> New Homes YTD = 119 <br /> The City of Centerville Web Site has had 124 persons view the location since it was launched <br /> on October 1, 1998. I have received some very positive a -mails in regards to the site. There have <br /> been viewers from around the country and one from the L1K. <br /> * Dave Nyberg has indicated that they will now release the electronic information on the <br /> development known as the Woods of Clearwater Creek. When this information is received, <br /> Bonestroo will be submitting the appropriate permit information for the utilities in this <br /> development. <br /> * The posts have been installed around the hockey rink at LaMotte Park. The hockey boards will <br /> be installed next week. Public works is completing this project. NSP has been contacted in <br /> regards to the lighting needs for the park. The Centerville Lions will once again be using the <br /> warming house building for the annual Lions Haunted House. The watermain that was run <br /> through LaMotte Park has been tested and the line is leak -proof and bacteria free. <br /> * The final inspection is scheduled for Friday for the Terminal Transport building in the Industrial <br /> Park. <br /> * I spoke to Gerald Rehbein on Thursday. The County Bank is scheduled to close on the lot in <br /> the commercial area on April 1, 1999. Gerald also has a signed letter from the school district <br /> indicating that he will be reimbursed up to $70,000 for the design work on the kindergarten <br /> facility to be built in Centerville. He is proceeding with having the building designed. <br /> * The EDC committee is going to have a Design Team post meeting Open House at their next <br /> regularly scheduled meeting. The meeting is going to be informal. All of the presenters, host <br /> families and those that indicated at the meetings that they were interested in helping on a project <br /> will be invited to attend to generate ideas and plan for potential project implementation. <br /> * Reminder! Council Meeting on October 28, 1998 at 6:00 <br /> Special Council Meeting on November 4 at 6:00 (to review election results and hold <br /> a budget workshop) <br />
