CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> PARK AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br /> OCTOBER 7, 1998 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Park and Recreation Committee of the City of <br /> Centerville held their regularly scheduled meeting on October 7, 1998 at City Hall. Dale <br /> Larson called the meeting to order at 6:50 p.m. <br /> PRESENT: Dale Larson <br /> Steve Brown <br /> Don Bahneman <br /> ABSENT: Chairperson Michael Navin <br /> Doug Porter <br /> STAFF: Jim March <br /> James Bownik <br /> CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES <br /> May 6, 1998 - Minutes approved. <br /> September 2, 1998 - Minutes approved. <br /> Motion to approve the May Meeting Minutes by Dale Larson. Motion seconded by Steve <br /> Brown. Motion carried unanimously. Motion to approve the September Meeting <br /> Minutes by Dale Larson. Motion seconded by Steve Brown. Motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS <br /> Gary Schmidt of 7071 Cottonwood Court expressed his interest in seeing a Footbridge <br /> connecting Cottonwood Court and Brian Court. <br /> UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> Clearwater Meadows Footbridge Update - Michael Navin <br /> The committee discussed the possibility of building a walkway bridge. Staff was directed <br /> to research past Minutes of the City Council and Park and Recreation Committee to see <br /> why it was never passed. <br /> LaMotte Park Grading Update <br /> Jim March, City Administrator, presented an update to the Committee. Everything is on <br /> schedule. Boards will be put up around the hockey rink October 23 -24 with the help of <br /> volunteer labor. The hockey rink should be ready to use this winter.
