The City Council will meet in closed session to discuss the union requests one hour
prior to the City Council meeting on Monday evening.
• The City Hall will be closed in observance of Veteran's Day on Wednesday, November 11.
• The trail was paved on Thursday, connecting the Eagle Pass development to the Park
development.
* LaMotte Park was seeded and mulched on Wednesday. The hockey rink should be complete
by Friday. Erosion control measures (hay bales, wood fiber blankets) have been installed in all of
the critical drainage areas.
• A recount of the votes for City Council is scheduled for 9:30 on Monday morning.
• Interviews for the position of Deputy Clerk are being scheduled for Friday, November 13.
* The new tractor was received at Public Works on Wednesday. Let winter begin!
* The water quality improvement project was completed on Centerville Lake last week.
* The street sections have been patched by Bonine Inc. at the intersections of Center Street and
20th Avenue and also the entrance to Chauncey Barett Gardens. Lift station 94 is also
operational.
* We received a report from Great Lakes Management on the senior housing project. The
facility has been 100% leased and occupied since the second month the facility opened.
* I am going to send a written letter to Willie Lessard inquiring about the status of his building on
20th Avenue. The building has potential for a public works facility. I asked Mr. Lessard to
provide more information on the terms he would be willing to accept for the building. The last
time that we spoke he was still waiting to hear from his accountant.
