They are going to be revising their <br /> plans and hold a public hearing for a special use permit in November. <br /> * The Planning and Zoning Commission rescheduled their next meeting to November 10, 1998, <br /> since their regularly scheduled meeting date conflicts with election day. <br /> * City Hall will be closed on Monday, October 12 in observance of Columbus Day. <br /> * I received a copy of an appraisal that was performed on the Lake Area Utilities building. The <br /> appraisal was conducted in November of 1995. At that time the property appraised at $290,000. <br /> The Lessards are interested in selling the building to the City for a potential public works site. <br /> Mr. Lessard is going to be meeting with his accountant to see what type of terms he could offer. <br /> I will place a copy of the appraisal in Council mailbins to be circulated. The tower on the <br /> property generates $3600 /year from antenna rental. The firm Case corporation currently leases <br /> the warehouse space from them at a rate of $2625 /month and they also pay 90% of the utilities, <br /> taxes and general maintenance. The property currently generates $7,749 in annual taxes. <br /> * The curb and gutter has been constructed on the development known as the Woods of <br /> Clearwater Creek. The pavement is scheduled to be installed on Monday. <br /> * A fire steering committee meeting has been scheduled for 3:30 on Tuesday, October 13. <br /> * Gerald Rehbein indicated that the school has authorized up to $70,000 to be spent on the <br /> designing of the kindergarten building. The building would probably be started in the spring of <br /> 1999. He also indicated that he should have a purchase agreement in hand from the County Bank <br /> by next week. <br />
