refuse as well as all health regulations and ordinances of the County <br /> and /or State of Minnesota regarding the pickup, transportation or <br /> disposal of refuse resulting from such collection. <br /> 6) SPRING CLEANUP. The Contractor shall as a part of this <br /> contract, assist in the annual City of Centerville Spring Cleanup, if <br /> any, by providing their equipment and personnel to drive the vehicles, <br /> on two weekends in the months of May or June. The Contractor shall be <br /> required to provide two trucks (packers and drivers to assist in this <br /> cleanup, and shall work with the appropriate personnel as necessary to <br /> provide an orderly cleanup. _(The land use disposal fee shall not be <br /> included as a part of this agreement, and the Contractor shall keep <br /> records of the number of loads disposed of, in order that appropriate <br /> payments can be made by others.) <br /> The Contractor shall further provide service as <br /> necessary for the collection and disposal of debris from the City <br /> facilities, properties, and parks at no cost to the City. <br /> 7) All trucks or motorized vehicles used by the Contractor <br /> shall be water tight so as not to allow the leakage of liquids or <br /> refuse while hauling the same and shall be covered with a metal <br /> covering to prevent the scattering of its contents upon the public <br /> streets or private properties of the City. <br /> 8) All trucks used by the Contractor shall be equipped with <br /> mobile radios of such a capacity that they can be in constant contact <br /> with the local-office of the Contractor. <br /> 9) A full time superintendent of collection shall be <br /> employed by the Contractor, and shall be the representative of the <br /> Contractor under this contract. The superintendent shall have <br /> supervisory duties which duties shall include servicing of complaints. <br /> The Contractor shall establish and maintain, in a location approved by <br /> the City, an office with continuous supervision for accepting <br /> complaints and customer calls. The office shall be in service during <br /> the hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through 'Friday except legal <br /> holidays, and the address and telephone number of such office and any <br /> changes therein shall be given to the City in writing. <br /> 10) Whenever the City or a resident notifies the Contractor <br /> of a location which has met the requirements for pickup but not <br /> received scheduled service, the Contractor is required to service such <br /> location no later than the following working day from the time of <br /> complaint. A record of all complaints and action taken thereon shall <br /> be kept by the Contractor and reported monthly to the City. All <br /> complaints shall be answered by the Contractor courteously and <br /> promptly. Verified failure to make a pickup or follow -up on a <br /> complaint shall be cause to deduct $5.00 as liquidated damages from <br /> the monthly payment by the City resident. <br /> 11) INSURANCE REQUIRED BY CONTRACTOR. The Contractor shall <br /> maintain and file policies or certificates thereof with the City on <br /> worker's compensation insurance and liability insurance during the <br /> whole period of this contract in the sum of $300,000.00 covering <br /> 3 <br />
