City Council Meeting January 8, 1997 Nyberg thanked the council for re- electing MSA Engineering Consultants as the City Engineer. As it has been a pleasure working with Jim, Ry -Chel and Paul, council has a good team and he looks forward to working with them and the city. City Goals and Objectives - MOTION by Brenner, seconded by Powers- Rasmussen to direct staff to research advisors for the City's goals and objectives. Motion carried unanimously. Mound Trail Park Property - MOTION by Buckbee, seconded by Helmbrecht to direct City staff to contact Anoka County and coordinate trailway dedication. Motion carried unanimously. Flashers at school crossing - Buckbee asked who would be responsible to pay for the engineering study, City or the County? March mentioned he would check on it. Buckbee suggested waiting until the council knew who would pay for the traffic study. Clerk/Administrator Authorized to Sign City Checks - MOTION by Wilharber, seconded by Buckbee to authorize Jim March to sign city checks. Motion carried unanimously. Clerk/Administrator Pay Increase - MOTION by Helmbrecht, seconded by Buckbee to approve a pay increase of $5,000+er- year retroactive to November 20, 1996. Motion carried unanimously. Use of Laurie LaMotte Park - Wilharber volunteered to check on farm land rental prices. Resolution 97-02- MOTION by Buckbee, seconded by Helmbrecht to set the fee structure identified in resolution 97 -02, for City of Centerville. Motion carried unanimously. Resolution 97 -03 - MOTION by Buckbee, seconded by Helmbrecht to approve Jim March as Responsible Authority. Motion carried unanimously.
