However,
it has not been submitted as a part of this plan update. The Metropolitan Land Planning Act indicates
that a comprehensive plan include a water management plan. Your water management plan should be
submitted to us for review and comment concurrently with its submittal to the Rice Creek Watershed
District, prior to local adoption. The city should provide a final plan and a projected implementation
timetable for land use controls that contain erosion and sedimentation control standards and shoreland
management regulations.
The city's draft water supply plan has been submitted to the Council for review. However, the plan is
not complete for review and contains growth projections that conflict with those presented in the
comprehensive plan update. You should submit additional information so that we can begin our review
of this plan.
Since you have submitted a complete comprehensive plan update, we cannot begin our review until we
receive your water management plan and until we find your water supply plan adequate for review.
I herefore, the 60 -day review period will not begin until this information has been supplied. If you have
anv questions about this matter, please contact, Victoria Boers, principal reviewer, at 291 -6621.
Sincereh,
Thomas C. McElveen, Deputy Director
Housing.
