discussed legal size soccer fields to accommodate tournaments for players over ten years old. <br /> Mr. March disclosed Anoka County's plan to develop the Rice Creek Regional Park in an amount <br /> of approximately 1.7 million dollars. In addition, the Park and Recreation Committee are striving <br /> to complete LaMotte Parks grading, seeding and parking lot by this fall. <br /> Mr. Navin commented the Park and Recreation Committee requested the Council address two <br /> issues. First, a contract for weed control at LaMotte Park. Second, Council's authorization for <br /> the Park and Recreation Committee to enter into an agreement with sport organizations to <br /> provide field priority, contingent upon a donation for LaMotte Park construction. <br /> Heritage Street and LaMotte Drive Cost Estimates <br /> City Engineer David Nyberg discussed the pavement reconstruction options for Heritage Street <br /> and LaMotte Drive. The first option provided a temporary, less expensive solution. This <br /> consisted of cutting out the problem asphalt areas and replacing them with bituminous patches. <br /> The second option includes patching the pavement and placing a 1 '' /z" bituminous overlay over <br /> the area. Another option included milling the full thickness of the existing pavement and <br /> overlaying on the milled area and lay an additional 3" of bituminous. The finally option is full <br /> reconstruction of the road. <br /> City Clerk Ry -Chel Gaustad noted the Federal Government granted the State of Minnesota 150 <br /> million dollars for a newly established Transportation Revolving Loan Funds (TRLF), and added, <br /> the Public Facility Authority should have the administration guidelines and loan criteria completed <br /> within six months. <br /> Councilmember Buckbee suggested Staff and the City Engineer work with the City of Lino Lakes <br /> to ensure proposals are prepared by February. <br /> Councilmember Powers left the Council Chambers at 8:25 p.m. <br /> 1997 Sealcoat Improvements <br /> MOTION by Councilmember Buckbee to authorize the City of Centerville to award sealcoat <br /> Contract to ASTEC Corp. for $22,036.95 as per Mr. March's recommendation. Motion <br /> seconded by Councilmember Brenner. Helmbrecht yes, Buckbee yes, Brenner yes, <br /> Councilmember Powers absent. <br /> Resolution 97-11 Authorizing _H R.
