BID - 2
Ace would like to propose a "Spring and Fall Recycle Day ",
to replace section 8, A, B, and C of contract, in order to
continually help t6aclii ve recycling goals for the city of
Centerville, bi vertin recycling materials from the
non - standard mater s list.
Scrap Metal: White Goods:
* Oil tanks * Major appliances
* Snowmobiles * Window air conditioners
* Lawn mowers * Furnaces
* Bicycles * Etc.
* Swing sets
* Etc.
Yard Waste: Tires:
* Grass * Car and truck tires
* Leaves
* Tree Clippings
* Brush
A.C.C.A.P.: (612) 783-4747
* Good usable furniture
* Household goods
Ace believes that there needs to be an incentive to encourage people to recycle
by charging a fee for non - standard materials during weekly pick up. This will
direct the non - standard material to "Spring and Fall Recycling Day's ", were
we can manage and record more accurate tonnage. We can then start looking
at recycling good usable furniture, fluorescent bulbs and any other items that
may become recyclable in the future, leaving all options open for the future of
recycling in Centerville.
