Motion carried unanimously. <br /> PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS <br /> Mayor Wilharber reported a resident complained of noxious weeds on the City owned LaMotte <br /> park property. Mayor Wilharber noted the weeds will be addressed after the City receives <br /> delineations on the property. <br /> APPEARANCES <br /> Odyssey Lures - Variance Request <br /> A brief overview of the parking lot setback variance request on Industrial Park, Lot 2, Block 1, <br /> was given. Mr. Richard Tuomi (Odyssey Lures) was present to answer questions. <br /> MOTION by Mayor Wilharber to approve the variance request contingent upon Rice Creek <br /> Watershed and the City Engineer's approval. Motion seconded by Councilmember Brenner. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> Lakeland Hills Grading <br /> Keith Ebensteiner (Royal Oaks Realty) briefed the Council on an unforeseen situation with the <br /> Lakeland Hills grading plan. He explained the rear of two rows of homes a dramatic slope <br /> mounts that supports twenty -six pine trees. The 50' high pine trees are showing stress and are <br /> dying approximately 25' high. Mr. Ebensteiner proposed removing the existing trees and creating <br /> a gradual slope for better drainage. Also, Mr. Ebensteiner committed to replacing the existing <br /> trees on a 6:1 ratio. Mr. Ebensteiner noted an Engineer with H.R. Green Consultants took an <br /> assessment of the situation and noticed stress on the trees and agreed death is inevitable. <br /> 2 <br />
