Nn. <br /> TIC CITY COLTNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTER` II LE ORDMN' S THE FOLLOWING: <br /> Ordinance 45 is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> Section 32 is replaced as follows: INSTALLATION OF WATER -METERS. The permit <br /> and location shall be approved by the Water Superintendent. <br /> (1) Installation of the water meter. remote and remote wire, raising the curb box to finished <br /> grade, turning on the water, and flushing of the limes shall be the responsibility of a <br /> plumber duly licensed and registered according to %Minnesota Statute 145. The meter <br /> setting shall be prodded as follows: <br /> (a) itleter settings shall be located in the utility. laundry or furnace room and in even <br /> case shall be located no more than eight (8) feet from the nearest floor drain unless <br /> there is prior approval from the Water Superintendent. <br /> (b) The setting shall be installed to provide that the meter be at least six (6) inches from <br /> the wall and between eighteen (18) and thirh -six (36) inches from the finished <br /> floor. <br /> (c) The water meter shall have full accessibility with a clear space of three (3) feet in <br /> all directions except as noted in paragraph (b). <br /> (d) Each meter setting shall be provided with a ball vane on the street side and the <br /> house side of the meter. Such valves shall be protected fivtn freezing. <br /> (e) Meter setting shall be accomplished with brass mechanical joint ahead of the inlet <br /> ball valve. <br /> (f) A - -Meter Interface unit ( \IIU) shall be securely installed on the exterior surface of <br /> the wall closest to the water meter. A single RJ11 telephone jack receptacle shall <br /> also be installed on the exterior surface of the wall within eighteen (18) inches of <br /> the N -IIU. This jack receptacle shall be wired into the existing active telephone <br /> circuit. <br />
