ambulance. Officer Jensen understood two paramedics' staff each ambulance. Councilmember <br /> Powers understood the ambulance is staffed with a Paramedic and EMT. Officer replied <br /> there should be two paramedics in each ambulance. Councilmember Powers stated she will <br /> investigate this issue and report back to the Council. <br /> Proposed Staff Salary Ranges <br /> Mr. March briefed the Council on salary ranges and submitted an example of salary ranges for <br /> non - unionized employees. Mr. March supplied information on a consulting firm specializing in <br /> pay equity and salary surveys. In addition, Mr. March submitted a memo from the City of Circle <br /> Pines in regards to non -union compensation. Mr. March distributed the information for future <br /> consideration and recommended staff salary ranges be addressed soon in a workshop setting. <br /> %Ir. March commented Troy Bonkowske is updating the City's personnel policy. Mr. March <br /> suggested inviting all the non - unionized employees to the workshop. <br /> NIT. Palzer distributed a letter which indicated a pay compensation conflict between the Public <br /> Works/Building Inspectors and the City Administrators positions. Mr. Palzer stated in 1995 the <br /> Public Works/Building Inspection position was 96% of the Administrators pay. Mr. Palzer <br /> requested this issue be addressed. Councilmember Powers questioned if all employees reviewed <br /> the proposed salary ranges. Mr. March explained the Staff expressed mixed reactions. <br /> Councilmember Helmbrecht suggested addressing salary ranges as soon as possible. Also, <br /> Councilmember Helmbrecht requested non - unionized Staff attend the workshop. <br /> Cable Casting Other Committee Meetings <br /> Councilmember Buckbee suggested cable broadcasting committee meetings. In addition, <br /> Buckbee felt broadcasting meetings will hold Committee /Commission members accountable and <br /> perhaps create more community interest. <br /> COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> CONSENT AGENDA <br /> Resolution 97 -22 <br /> Resolution 97 -23 <br /> Change Wednesday. November 26. Council Meeting to Monday. November 24. <br /> )IOTION by Councilmember Brenner to approve the consent agenda. Motion seconded by <br /> Councilmember Helmbrecht. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Completion of the City's Comprehensive Plan <br /> NIr. March requested Council direct Staff to either continue or conclude working with Dean <br /> Johnson to create continuity between the planning and zoning ordinance and the City's <br /> comprehensive plan. Councilmember Buckbee requested Dean Johnson submit a breakdown of <br /> t:es for the associated work to be completed utilizing the Met Council's planning grant. <br /> 5 <br />
