MEMO <br /> DATE : 12/5/97 <br /> TO Honorable Mayor and Council <br /> FROM : Jim March <br /> RE United Waste Discussion <br /> As you may recall from the last meeting, the discussion on the <br /> United Waste contract was continued to the next meeting. Clara <br /> Ayde was present to relay dissatisfaction with the United Waste <br /> billing system and raised issues with the service being provided <br /> under the current contract. Staff was instructed to review the <br /> Council tapes and bring information to the next meeting. The <br /> representative from United Waste claimed that the contract had <br /> been amended when the contract was extended. Attached is a <br /> letter that I sent to Mr. Jeff Glewwe (dated 9/24/97) that <br /> extended the residential refuse contract under the current <br /> contract terms for a period of one year effective until October <br /> 1, 1998. I will speak to the United Waste representatives prior <br /> to the meeting to remind them about this document. <br />
