City oj Centervitte <br /> 1694 SorefStreet, Centerviffe, M�55038 (612)429 -3232 <br /> CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 17 -A <br /> AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE USE AND OPERATION OF SNOWMOBILES IN <br /> THE CITY OF CENTERVILLE, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 17 RELATING <br /> TO THE SAME SUBJECT. <br /> The City Council of the City of Centerville ordains: <br /> Section 1 Intent: <br /> It is the intent of this ordinance to supplement Minnesota <br /> Statues, Sections 34.81 through 34.33, as amended, and Minnesota <br /> Statues Chapter 169, with respect to the operation of <br /> snowmobiles. Such statues are incorporated herein by reference. <br /> This section is not intended to allow what the state statues <br /> prohibit, nor to prohibit what the state statues allow. <br /> EeatiQn ' Definitions: <br /> a. For purposes of this Ordinance, terms defined herein <br /> shall have the meaning ascribed to them. <br /> b. "Person" includes an individual, partnership, <br /> corporation, the state and its agencies and subdivision, and any <br /> body of persons, whether incorporated or not. <br /> C. "Snowmobile" means a self propelled vehicle designed <br /> for travel on snow or ice, steered by skis or runners. ' <br /> d. "Owner" means a person, other than a lien holder <br /> having the property in or title to a snowmobile, or entitled to <br /> the use or possession thereof. <br /> e. "Operate" means to ride in or on, and control the <br /> operation of a snowmobile. <br /> f. - Operator" means every person who operates, or is in <br /> actual physical control of a snowmobile. <br /> g. "Roadway" means that portion of a highway or street <br /> improved, designed or ordinarily used for vehicular travel. <br /> h. "Street" means a public thoroughfare, roadway, :alley, <br /> 0 trail used for motor vehicular traffic which is not nn <br /> inter =torte, trunk, county -state aid, or county highway. <br /> -1- <br />
